After rape case acquittal, defense attorney calls case a ‘sham’—Fremont News-Messenger

Peter Pattakos, one of the attorneys for the defendant, delivered the defendant’s closing argument to the Sandusky County jury, who deliberated for about 90 minutes before coming back with a not-guilty verdict on all four counts, two of rape and two of felony sexual-battery based on allegations by two alleged victims.

Andrew Mayle, lead attorney for the defendant, called the prosecution a “sham” and blasted the investigation by the Clyde Police Department, stating that the detective who led the investigation should be investigated himself for dereliction of duty, perjury and obstruction of justice.
